My December

Been a bit busy and lazy to post. By the time I get home from work and eat dinner, I only have time to watch a movie, TV, or play a quick game session before heading to bed. Many times I don’t even log on to the computer at night. After all, I’m on multiple computers all day every day. It’s a four-day Christmas break for me, so I’m just relaxing a bit. Did some shopping this week. Shopping for the girlfriend broke my wallet. Having fun with my Xbox 360 and Wii. I also started playing Elite Beat Agents on the DS which is awesome. I gave up on Final Fantasy XII. I just couldn’t get into it. Unless Final Fantasy XIII is a total revolution, I may not want to play it either. Which is good, because I don’t want to get a PS3. More on that later. Maybe I just don’t have the patience for RPGs anymore. I’m still playing Guitar Hero 2 from time to time. Finally completed expert level after many tries.

All the TV shows are off right now, but I’ve been enjoying Heroes and Daybreak a lot. Can’t wait for them to come back and with 24 too. Jack Bauer is the man.

I saw Rocky Balboa on Friday. It was surprisingly good. Sly still has some credibility as a writer, actor, and director. It’s what you come to expect from a Rocky movie, but much more well done than prior versions. When the training montage started with the Rocky theme “Flying High” going, the crowd just cheered. It’s just good old fashion fun. But there was a lot of character development also. Rocky struggles with letting go of the past while having trouble connecting with his son. Getting into this fight was just something he felt like he had to do while he can. The overall theme of the movie is being able to move forward despite all. I thoroughly enjoyed it and came out with an overall good feeling.
