Recruit

So I got a call from a lady that works at Prosum. They are a job recruiter and are helping me find a job. I went down for an interview earlier this week. Doesn’t cost me anything to them, they make money from their clients the hiring companies. However, I think I may take a hit on the salary or something. There are a couple positions in mind right now, so I wait.

MyHeritage face recognition

MyHeritage.com has a cool face recognition software on their site. Right now it only compares to a database of celebrities. Most of the time you upload any picture of a celebrity it will find who that is. Pretty cool. What’s more fun is to upload pictures of yourself or friends or family and see who they look like or what the software returns. Most of the time it’s odd, but sometimes it finds a good match. Pretty cool technology.

Mega Man Effect

Mega Man Effect

Mega Man Effect. Every program you launch will be introduced like the bosses from the old Mega Man game. It was very awesome for 2 minutes. I installed it, but it gets old really fast.

Free Time

Still job searching. Had a couple employment agencies call me for some information, but nothing beyond that. So with all this free time, I work on some stuff. I wrote a javascript program that sticks lyrics into the songs on my Ipod using the lyrics downloaded from EvilLyrics.

I also started playing a bunch of old Lucas Arts adventure games. I just finished Curse of Monkey Island as I do not recall ever finishing it. It went quick, finished in two days and consulted gamefaqs only 4 times. Full Throttle or Sam & Max is next. Old school rules.
